FLYX is a social network that helps you discover what and where to watch movies and shows. Additionally, Bakstage is a fun casual space for people to interact with real people via live audio conversations.

The challenge for me was to juxtapose the vibrant and fun aesthetic we created for FLYX with a luxe, valuable feel for Bakstage, without appearing too posh or unapproachable. Living within the FLYX ecosystem, Bakstage is a fun casual space for people to interact with real people via live audio conversations. You can talk or join conversations about various topics like movies, shows, sports, tech, news, finance, social causes, politics, etc.
The thought process was to visually display as many speakers and users as possible without causing the experience to feel overcrowded. I opted for larger circles for the speakers to highlight the difference between speaker hierarchy and audience volume.
Newer drafts featured a more streamlined approach at voice room cards and special attention paid to typography height, weight, and color in order to most effectively and efficiently convey important event data.
